Shawn Johnson is a former American gymnast. She became a worldwide sensation during the 2008 Olympics, where she won the silver medal in the individual all-around competiton. She also helped lead the United States to the silver medal in the all-around team competition by competing in all four events. Shawn also won the silver medal for floor exercise, and gold medal for balance beam. Sadly, shawn tore her ACL during a skiing accident in January 2010, and struggled to recover. By the end of the year, though, she was back in the gym and ready to make a comeback. She returned to the U.S. Senior National Team once again in 2011, with a goal of competing in the 2012 Olympics. However, she retired in June 2012 after ongoing struggles with her knee. She went onto compete on the all-star season of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ that fall and came in second place.
Shawn got engaged to Andrew East in 2015, and they were married less than one year later in April 2016. IN Oct. 2017, Shawn revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage in an emotional YouTube video. However, by April 2019, she was pregnant again, and she heavily documented her pregnancy on social media.
