Transfer news LIVE: Chelsea backed to sign Toney ahead of Arsenal, Spurs BEAT Bayern to 26m Dragus

‘Be great’

Jadon Sancho has been tipped to return to top form as he closes in on a return to Dortmund.

The England international landed in Dortmund last night to seal his loan switch from Manchester United and end his Old Trafford misery.

Sancho will return to his old club in a deal until the end of the season, with the German giants paying just £3million in a loan fee and to cover part of his wages.

And former Aston Villa manager and Dortmund legend Paul Lambert has backed him to be a success on his return to BVB.

He told Ladbrokes FanZone: “Jadon Sancho did an incredible job for Dortmund during his first stint with the club; he looked unplayable at times out there.

“He then went to Manchester United and for one reason or another, things didn’t work out for him. You never know how those big moves are going to work out; whether it’s the club, or the character, or the lifestyle in England compared to Germany… sometimes things just don’t go according to plan.

“I’m pretty sure if he went back to Dortmund, we’d see a better player as a result. For a start, he’d be under less scrutiny than he is at Manchester United, and as a result, he’d probably go back to enjoying his football again, which would be great.”
